Prince William, the future King of England, is reportedly determined to keep his estranged brother, Prince Harry, away from their ailing father, King Charles. As King Charles battles a serious illness, the tension within the royal family has escalated, with William playing a major role in influencing his father’s heartbreaking decisions. According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, the Prince of Wales has made it clear that he wants to maintain strict boundaries, which has left the King torn between his love for both his sons.
Fordwich explained that William has “put his foot down” and imposed an unyielding ban on Harry’s return to the royal fold in any capacity. Despite King Charles still harboring affection for his “darling boy,” as Fordwich notes, it is William’s influence that has kept Harry at arm’s length.
The King, known for his softer heart when it comes to family, is caught between the wishes of his eldest son and his desire to reconnect with Harry, but for now, he’s conceding to William’s strong stance.
The rift between the brothers only deepened after Harry and Meghan’s explosive Netflix series and the Duke’s 2023 memoir, Spare. The accusations and revelations, including an alleged physical altercation between William and Harry, have left scars that are yet to heal.
